I love the idea of service because I think it has become a lost art in todays society. We have become a society of instant gratification and doing everything for a fee. By offering service opportunities, I hope to share my love of doing good work for free and inspire CU students to continue to offer their skills to others free of charge, simply out of the goodness of their hearts.
As Service co-chair I have the opportunity to provide experience for CU students that help them to expand their mindset about our friends on the street, and hopefully ignite in them a love for doing volunteer work! This semester we will be making cards for kids in hospitals, talking with our friends on the street, and working a dance for adults with disabilities.
I am a junior studying Integrative Physiology with a minor in Spanish. My dream is to be a physical therapist working with people giving them hope that their bodies will heal and life will improve! When I'm not studying or hanging out at the Catholic Center you can find me outside, playing piano, or having my own personal dance party!
