Annika Reuter, Pro-Life
What I enjoy most about COR and the St. Tom’s community in general is seeing the incredible potential and passion that young people have to effect change in our society and be witnesses for Christ in places of spiritual darkness. Whether it is in the beautiful community at Candlelight Mass that brings the light of Christ to “the Hill” or the students attending the March for Life, I am constantly inspired to be working with a group of people who have found something real and worth fighting for, and who show that our Church is very much alive.
My role on COR is as the co-chair of the pro-life team. I help to coordinate various events and activities that give students the opportunity to fight for life from conception to natural death, from organized prayer at abortion clinics and participation in the 40 Days for Life Campaign, to volunteering at the Mullen Home for the Aged.
I’m from Littleton, Colorado. When I was little I wanted to be a Jedi; then I decided I wanted to go to Hogwarts; now I’m majoring in Spanish and Integrative Physiology and hope to be a nutritionist or physical therapist (not as exciting, I know). I love running and hiking, drink large quantities of tea (or more precisely, “herbal infusions”), and enjoy playing board games with friends and family. I adore reading, and if you want to discuss C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, or Jane Austen with me I’ll adore you.
